We wanted to highlight other stories of dance and ballet that showcase the voices of professionals, industry specialists, and even amateur dancers – all with a deep passion for beautiful movement.

Invisible Made Visible, Act 3 – Stiff as a Board, Light as a Feather
After a surgery to remove a cancerous tumor, writer David Rakoff lost the use of his left arm. Figuring out how to use only his right arm to do the day-to-day stuff was simple enough, but he feared he would also lose the ability to express himself through dance, as he’d done his whole life. This was David Rakoff’s final appearance on the show. You can also watch him tell this story on YouTube.
